My first attempt at digital scrapping!

I plan to finally dive into digital scrapbooking this year, so as a small little start to get my feet wet, I did this simple birthday e-card to send to my sister.  Not bad for my first go with Digital Scrapping I guess!  Super fun, and sooo much less clean up! Yeah!

Functional Art

My google reader keeps me very busy...and up to date on all my favorite blogs!  One of those favs includes Thrifty Decor Chic.  On Friday, Thrifty Decor Chic showed off many new bloggers...which kept my google reader busy all day!  Thanks to TDC I stumbled upon the blog {Twenty}something and found this totally awesome DIY project for a jewelry holder similar to one by Pottery Barn.  I was totally inspired, but also realized I lacked a variety of awesome earrings to make something like that look cool in my bedroom (I'll have to work on that). 

What I do have a ton of though is handmade cards.  Handmade cards that once made, get thrown into a box, and forgotten about.  My solution?  A handmade card holder...just like the DIY Jewelry holder from {Twenty}something.  

It is functional AND a piece of art!  What could be better?
